Announcing Dirk-Peter van Leeuwen, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Red Hat in the Asia Pacific and Japan as a speaker at FiNext Awards & Conference Singapore 2019
Dirk‐Peter van Leeuwen is the senior vice president and general manager for Red Hat in the Asia Pacific and Japan. Van Leeuwen is responsible for expanding Red Hat’s presence, and overseeing all sales, marketing, and services throughout the region.
He joined Red Hat in 2004 to establish Red Hat’s operations in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg (Benelux). Soon after, Van Leeuwen’s responsibilities expanded to include Central Europe, and later Eastern Europe. He moved to Singapore in September 2009. Under Van Leeuwen’s leadership, revenue from the Asia Pacific has quadrupled.
Prior to Red Hat, he was a European director for PlanetWeb Inc. and the director of Northern Europe for SCO, where he built its sales operations in Benelux and the Nordic region.
Van Leeuwen has a computer engineering background and more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry. He has a deep understanding of the enterprise software market and channels in both the Asia Pacific and Europe.
