Marios Demosthenous nominated for the ‘Excellence in Finance Leaders’ award at FiNext Conference Dubai 2020
Dubai 2020. Marios Demosthenous nominated for the Excellence in Finance Leaders award for his significant contribution towards the financial sector at FiNext Conference 2020, to be held at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre.
Marios Demosthenous is the Head of the Financial Risk Department at Trading Point of Financial Instruments (XM.com).
Marios has a degree of MSc International Management and Consulting from the University of Reading, and Bank Operations Diploma from the Institute of Banking Studies, Cyprus.
As the Head of Financial Risk Department, his main duties involve designing of payment flows based on local market requirements, monitoring payment channels to ensure smooth business operations in different markets, developing new payment relationships to strategically support business growth in both established and new markets and strategic development of the group on different areas and new markets at a global level.
Marios also worked in the Financial Control Department where he managed the establishment of the Financial Control Department in close cooperation with the CFO, also he had designed the monitoring system and customized payments velocity rules to minimize fraud risks within a smooth customer experience
